Understanding the Shadow Teacher Training & School Bridging Program

We provide, train, and support shadow teachers who connect therapy at the center with classroom learning, promoting inclusion and supporting each child’s Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) goals. Through our School Bridging Program, children receive intensive therapy while gradually transitioning to school with the support of a shadow teacher, building independence, skills, and confidence to thrive in the classroom.

  • Shadow Teacher Training
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device caregiver training session, as needed
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device rogramming, as needed
  • Individualized Education Program (IEP) written by licensed therapists
  • Monthly Shadow Teacher Follow-Ups
  • Follow-up Meetings including the caregivers, school teachers, and other relevant team members
  • School Visits
